A modern British Pub in the Heart of Carramar
Since opening its doors in 2015, The Duke Bar & Bistro has become a true local favourite – a modern British-style pub that brings together great food, warm hospitality, and a welcoming atmosphere for families, sports fans, and anyone looking for a good time.
With a full restaurant, a lively main bar, a sports bar, and two spacious beer gardens, The Duke offers something for everyone. Whether it’s a quiet pint, a family meal, or catching the big games, the pub has cemented itself as a hub of the community.
A taste of Britain
The Duke’s British heritage is woven throughout the venue – from the menu to the decor. The walls feature English nick-nacks, old maps, posters, paintings, football team flags and old beer brand logos.
Food is at the heart of the experience, with a menu that mixes classic pub stables with British favourites. From parmis and steaks to bangers & mash, gammon steak, toad in the hole, Scotch eggs, and Yorkshire pudding, the menu blends hearty comfort food with modern touches.
Sundays are all about tradition, with a renowned three-course carvery featuring soup, roast meats, roasted vegetables, Yorkshire puddings, and desserts. It’s as close as you’ll get to a proper Sunday roast this side of the equator.
The Duke also throws itself into celebrating key days in the British calendar – from St George’s Day, complete with traditional Morris dancing dating back to the 15th century, to St Patrick’s Day, St David’s Day and St Andrew’s Day, each celebrated with its own unique flair.
For the sports fans
The Sports Bar is a shrine to the beautiful game, with flags and photos from clubs like Chelsea, Liverpool, and West Ham lining the walls. Big screens show all the major sporting events, and TAB facilities make sure punters don’t miss a moment.
A decade of The Duke
In 2025, The Duke celebrated its 10th anniversary with the locals who have supported it since day one. As The West Australian noted when it first opened: “A suburban pub servicing WA’s fast-growing north-west corridor.”
Ten years on, that’s exactly what it’s done – becoming a home away from home for so many in Carramar and beyond.
The Duke Today
With its mix of traditional British charm and modern Aussie pub culture, The Duke continues to grow as a local institution. Whether it’s a family Sunday lunch, a midweek steak night, a quiz with mates, or a big night of live music, The Duke is always ready to welcome you in.
